Job Description
As Senior Accountant you are responsible for the accounts payable, GL, year end closing and reporting for several entities. You will report into the Accounting Manager. You have a couple years working experience in an international environment. You will work with highly motivated professionals who are working towards a just and sustainable future.
You are a broad finance professional who is responsible for contributing to the bookkeeping, accounts payable, year-end-closing and reporting.
- Supporting the Accounting Manager with the bookkeeping and statutory closing processes of various entities based in Switzerland, UK and Germany.
- Accounts payable administration and execution of specific payments.
- Supporting the Accounting Manager with periodical declaration of VAT and calculation of tax provision.
- Supporting with the monthly management reporting.
- Year-end tasks and support of statutory audit, including: the preparation of the statutory financial statements, elaborating and reviewing of notes to the financial statements and answering queries from the external auditors.
- Supporting the year-end reporting, including intercompany reconciliation for group reporting purposes and executing relevant steps for the group reporting such as booking of IFRS journals and upload into consolidation tool.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field or other professional education in the field of financial accounting and/or administration
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial administration and accountancy in an international environment
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO is a plus
- Strong background in Swiss GAAP (IFRS is a plus)
- Positive mindset with a can-do mentality, demonstrating ownership and embracing opportunities for change
- Professional affiliation with Microsoft Excel
- Must have full working right in Switzerland
- Must be based in Zug or willing to commute at least 2 times per week.
