Job Description
The Head of Technology is responsible for leading Constanter’s Technology team (9 FTE) and ensuring all IT services run smoothly and are cost-effective across Constanter (350 FTE). Integral part of this job is setting the roadmap towards a future-proof technology landscape across Constanter’s central functions and the small regional offices that are located globally. The Head of Technology works closely with the different support functions within Constanter, as well as with the philanthropic organisations and Constanter’s Investment Office to ensure delivery of business value.
Key responsibilities are:
Overall responsibility for leadership, control and decision making of the Technology team.
Builds, mentors and motivates the Technology team (9 FTE). Leads the team with integrity and creates a working environment where team members feel included, valued, and supported. Creates excitement around shared team and Constanter objectives.
Defines a multi-year strategy that addresses all elements of the technology roadmap, translating business vision and digital transformation objectives into technology initiatives. Translates the IT strategy into the various aspects: architecture, portfolio, data analytics and security.
Aligns priorities, expectations and incentives between business & technology.
Leads the planning for the technology organization and the execution of the IT vision and strategy.
Supports business to identify, vet and apply emerging technologies to the business roadmap.
Ensures a technology & architectural roadmap that supports the demands of the IT organisation and those of the business.
Develops and manages the IT operating and capital budget required to implement the business and IT strategy at optimal cost.
Sets the sourcing strategy and defines investment decisions to ensure alignment of the overall business goals.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree, for example in computer science or information management
Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in the technology domain and digital transformation
Broad experience with leadership roles in medium to small organizations
Understanding of and experience working in digital ecosystems
Experience with change management and creating a bridge between the business and technology
Agile, Lean, ITIL
